I am very new to art journaling and quickly became addicted.  I started working with mixed media as a way to break the restrictions I set on myself when working on a watercolor painting, I find it very freeing because pretty much anything goes.  Art journaling has also lead to my mini canvases which are fun to create and take up very little space.
